The biggest challenge of Kaan, and perhaps his source of ambition and perfectionism, is his visual impairment. A congenital retina cancer, which resulted in the loss of one eye and left him with 20% of vision on the other one. This challenge taught him to always have a different point of view in challenging situations, and never to give up working for the better, equal and inclusive design solutions.
